Looks like a great opportunity for European entrepreneurs for funding, networking even for challenging their business plans. It offers 50K Euro for 5 teams for 10% stake, which is definitely not bad if you are just a startup with a good idea, but (almost) no money.

Hola from Barcelona!

I am at S60 Summit Barcelona, showcasing Kuneri products KuneriLite, KISS60, as well as our award-winning Flash Lite mobile voting system Easy Vote.

I will live blog S60 summit today and tomorrow, pictures, ideas, news and more. So stay tuned.

In April and May, I will be attending and giving presentations, tutoring for workshops in various events about Flash Lite and KuneriLite. If you happen to attend any of those, just drop by and say hi!

2nd April 2008 - Forum Nokia Code Camp: S60 Sensor APIs - Helsinki

I will be presenting how KuneriLite can utilize sensors and will be demonstrating how to build a simple Flash Lite sensor game in 15 minutes. I will also be attending to workshops to guide developers, answer their questions and help them to put hands on active development for Flash Lite and KuneriLite.

4th - 5th April 2008 - Over the Air event - London

I will be presenting KuneriLite and talk about how it drives the innovation to create great-looking S60 applications faster, easier and cheaper with Flash Lite. Surely will be present in workshops.

28th - 29th May 2008 - S60 Summit 2008 - Barcelona

I will be presenting and demonstrating KuneriLite, showing how it can be used to create rich mobile applications without huge requirements and answering questions.

One thing you might want to have in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress would be a local SIM card. Roaming is crazy expensive, so you should get one. If you do not know Spanish (like me), it’s a little blind dive, but following recommendations and a lot of asking + walking, I got a Yoigo with an internet access. Surprisingly, no one I asked knew about it, but it’s easy and it works. Here are some time saving instructions for you;

- Find a “The phone house” store. There is one in La Rambla. If you ask Tourist Information point, they will tell you
- Ask for Yoigo. Takes 5 minutes to register and get it working. You will need a passport, that’s all. It costs EUR 10 with EUR 5 credits included.
- You will want to have internet access. Internet access is not activated by default. If you know Spanish, call 622 and help yourself. If not, ask the gentleman or lady to activate it for you.
- Your internet connection should be activated in a day (mine did). I have no idea how much it costs, but can’t get too wrong, it’s already prepaid :)

So, here I am in Barcelona, getting ready for a great 4 days in Mobile World Congress and maybe a couple of days for relaxing. It’s my first time here and I am definitely amazed with the weather and the city (almost 12 degrees and sunny!). After dark and cold Oulu, it feels like summer :) I will try to post latest pictures and videos from here, so stay tuned.

UK Adobe Mobile and Devices User Group organizes an eSeminar in collaboration with Augnofi (Adobe User Group Northern Finland); KuneriLite : Develop kick-ass S60 applications with Flash Lite. Matt Pollitt, the manager of UK MaD, kindly organizes and hosts the event on 16th October 2007 at 5pm GMT and I will be the one presenting. Next Augnofi meeting will take place on 31st May. We arranged the event together with ELVI Peli (Game) Connection and bringing many companies, investors and financiers together. I will be pitching about Flash Lite and mobile trends during the event to give an idea about Flash Lite and recent mobile trends. I hope to raise the interest of people to Flash Lite and help them to see the potential. I am also planning to show Flash Lite on Wii, before we start tennis tournament :) I saw that Richard has a good piece of Flash Lite game for Wii, hope it will work fine there. Please leave me a note, if you have other cool ideas for that.
