flash lite in app purchasing

Integration of Tanla License Manager into KuneriLite Rapid Application Development toolkit, brings monetization and DRM solution on top of cost-effective & thrilling Symbian app development using Flash Lite.

February 15 2010, Mobile World Congress, Barcelona - Tanla and Kuneri today announced their cooperation in providing In App purchasing solution for Flash Lite. In App purchasing, powered by Tanla License Manager integrated to Kuneri’s    Rapid Application Development toolkit KuneriLite, aims to provide a solid monetization and DRM solution to Flash Lite developers, by enabling In App purchasing and Try & Buy business models on mobile applications.

Tanla License Manager on-device payment solution enables distribution of wireless content to users all over the world with convenient payment options. Tanla’s solution displays predefined licensing options and pricing in local currency and prompts users to accept a license fee to be charged on phone bill or credit card. Tanla License Manager ensures worldwide revenue flows with operator billing on over 100 networks, credit card billing with all major credit cards, and local and global debit cards.

“Tanla is thrilled to bring mobile payments and flexible licensing available also for Flash Lite developers through KuneriLite. Our co-operation with Kuneri opens a large group of developers entirely new opportunities to monetize their applications and to create multiple business models,” says Vesa-Pekka Kirsi, VP, Tanla Ltd.

KuneriLite innovative Rapid Application Development toolkit extends Adobe Flash Lite capabilities for faster, easier and cheaper Symbian application development. It enables Flash Lite developers to go beyond Flash Lite features and create great-looking Symbian apps without any knowledge of Symbian programming. Together with the integrated Tanla License Manager KuneriLite now enables developers to create mobile apps utilizing multiple end-user licensing options and business models with In App purchsing, Try & Buy, micro payments, as well as continuous subscriptions.

“Flash Lite developers, it’s time to make money,” says Ugur Kaner, CEO of Kuneri Ltd. “Monetization and DRM have always been a bottleneck for Flash Lite developers. Finally, there is a solution addressing these problems and there is nothing to hold more Flash Lite success stories to be told,” he continues.

    Hi Ugur,
Submitting to the Symbian Signed requires the app to contain the Symbian allotted UID signed with my DevCert. Kunerilite works well with the randomly generated unprotected UID and self signing, but when I tried to use the mandated procedure, the tool refused to yield. I get an error: “Unable to install, constrained by the certificate.” I know what it means as I have been following http://mobile.antonypranata.com/2006…0-3rd-edition/

    Regards,
    Supriya
