Good new ideas for S60
Tommi from S60 blogs asked some time ago for improvement suggestions for S60 built-in software. He also is suprized to recieve that many ideas and suggestions. That is really amazing to have such a source. Not only because it is a realistic feedback from S60 users, but also it gives great new ideas for new projects, especially Flash Lite!

Indeed, I’m positively surprised. Moreover, most of the comments I’ve received from S60 managers has been something like “great stuff, this kind of feedback is really valuable”.
However, I don’t think the ideas were particularly new or unique. I’ve heard most of them before. Instead, it’s more about what we should really do next - about fixing the real user experience pain points that the real users face.
Anyway, I really appreciate the feedback, and I think we should arrange this kind of polls in the future.

Yes, I get your point. It also frustrates me to set my alarm clock every night, instead of defining a daily one. I am sure these issues are mentioned you alot of times, or you experieced by yourself. But you scratched these points with your post again and got unexpected positive reaction. I think that is a success looking from this perspective.
You know, strategy is usually on the way of ‘new and better projects’ and it is not very common to correct or improve oldies. Eventhough there are such obvious cases and very simple solutions, no one wants to get their hand dirty and they are always delayed. This delay may not be positive for the platform, however I look at this situation from a different perspective. Details, that might not mean too much for big players may create good opportunities for small players. If these gaps are filled successfully before the reaction, new talents and new products arise. This brings diversity and improvement within.
I think for creating small gadgets to fill these small gaps, Flash Lite is a great platform. It will not take long time, it will offer new style interfaces, it will close a gap in the system and will promote the platform/product at the same time. That is what I see from the results of this poll. Small gaps are clear, ideas and suggestions are there, platform is ready; what we need is to see them and catch on at the right time with the right technology.
Yes, I agree, we should arrange these kind of polls more often in the future:)
